As an award-nominated director and playwright, Paul enjoys the other side of the artistic process. He has worked on adaptations, new plays, world premieres, workshops, readings and more (occasionally wearing both hats at once). Whether working with classical or devised text, comedy or drama, he is at home. He is also a founding member of DC’s award-winning Commedia dell’Arte Theatre Company, Faction of Fools, and served as Producing Artistic Director for several years.

Paul also has extensive experience directing students. As a teacher for over 20 years, his expertise in physical theatre, classical text, clown and Commedia dell'Arte has aided his work with students and professionals alike. He is currently Principal Acting Teacher at Baltimore School for the Arts.
